Episode 4:

In , Seok Soon blames Saimdang for all her and wants revenge. She takes Saimdang’s ribbon and containing her drawings of the drunken at the temple to the river where Min Chi-hyung finds them. When Min Chi-hyung finds out that Saimdang is the ribbon’s owner, he and the soldiers rush to her house. But a masked warrior (actually the King’s bodyguard) easily beats them off. Min Chi-young and the soldiers retreat .

The King’s bodyguard later kills Saimdang’s father, and just a day after the wedding, Saimdang begins to for her father. A Lee Gyeom arrives and begs her to run away with him. But she refuses.
